I feel safer in the United Methodist Church than I have in a long time.
Today in a trial court, we rehearsed how an ordained elder submitted to her bishop legal proof that she is in a covenanted same-sex union.
The church's response?
There is no violation of our church law here.
I feel safer in this church than I have in a long time.
The logistics of this are complicated. If you want, we can talk about it.
But more importantly, what I want to share is, I feel safer.
